Senior Manager, Financial Accounting & Reporting

  • Location: T-Th onsite at headquarters in Farmers Branch, TX | M & F can work remotely
  • Reports to: SVP Finance
  • Salary range: $135,000 - 155,000 annual base salary

The Senior Manager of Financial Accounting & Reporting will play a critical leadership role in driving financial performance, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision-making across retail stores and channels. This role will partner closely with merchandising, operations, supply chain, and marketing teams to support business strategies with clear financial insight and accountability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Planning & Forecasting: Lead the development of store level and channel-specific budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans. Align financial plans with sales, margin, and labor.
  • Business Partnership & Strategic Support: Collaborate with retail operations, merchandising, and marketing leaders to evaluate promotions, product mix and store performance. Provide insights and financial recommendations to maximize profitability and customer value.
  • Performance Reporting & Analysis: Deliver daily, weekly, and monthly sales and margin performance reporting. Analyze KPIs such as sales per square foot, comp store growth, and labor productivity.
  • Leadership & Team Management: Lead and develop a high performing team of analysts. Foster a collaborative environment that emphasizes business partnership and continuous improvements.
  • Business Development & Growth: Conduct the financial due diligence, ROI analysis, and integration planning related to M&A activity, and other strategic initiatives. Additionally, this role will be responsible for building and maintaining financial models to support new store openings, remodels, lease renewals, and relocation projects.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience; Minimum of 1 additional year of experience related to functional area
  • Minimum of 3 years of management experience with responsibilities for hiring, training, assigning work and managing performance of direct reports
  • In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills required in dealing effectively with business partners, staff, outside auditors and vendors, and Board of Directors
